Pebble app gets updated, new firmware comes along for the ride

Pebble has updated both its smartwatch and the iPhone app used to manage it. While the Pebble itself received bug fixes and stability improvements in this firmware update, the iOS app update was a little more substantial and includes automatic watch app updates.

Your watch apps and faces will update automatically. When your Pebble is idle, for instance, when it's charging, the Pebble app will transfer updated apps and faces over to it. The app also has a new settings section. Rather than go into your iPhone's Settings, you can now open the app's menu drawer and tap Settings.

To update the firmware of your Pebble, make sure it and your phone are connected, then open the app. You should be immediately prompted to download the update. The new Pebble firmware is version 2.7.

This update for Pebble for iPhone is available from the App Store right now. Also be sure to check out Connectedly's ultimate guide to Pebble to get the most of your smartwatch.
