iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus pre-orders reportedly exceed 20 million in China

Earlier this month, Tencent revealed that pre-orders in China for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus were in excess of 4 million, and today the publication has posted revised numbers which see total pre-orders at 20 million, five times more than what was initially quoted. According to Tencent:

Pre-orders across the three major carriers in the country — China Mobile, China Telecom and China Unicom — have been estimated to be in the vicinity of 10 million, while Jingdong Mall, one of the largest retail locations in the country, received around 9.49 million orders.

The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus will be available in China starting this Friday, and we should have official numbers from Apple next week detailing the exact number of sales.
