How to set up and add cards to Apple Pay on your Apple Watch

If you have an Apple Watch, you have the ability to use Apple Pay right on your wrist.

It works a little differently than it does on your iPhone, but it's just as safe and just as secure. Once it's set up, you'll be able to tap your watch at thousands of different retail locations just as easily as you could your iPhone! The first thing you'll need to do before you can start using Apple Pay with Apple Watch is add all your credit and debit cards. Here's how to get started!

How to add your default iTunes payment card to Apple Pay on Apple Watch

  1. Launch the Apple Watch app on your iPhone.
  2. Tap on My Watch in the bottom navigation if you aren't there already.
  3. Tap on Passbook & Apple Pay.
  4. Tap Add Credit or Debit Card.
  5. Tap Next in the upper right hand corner.
  6. Enter the security code for the card you have on file with iTunes.
  7. Tap Next in the upper right hand corner.
  8. Agree to your cardholder's terms and conditions.
  9. Your card will show up in Apple Pay as soon as it's done verifying.

How to add more cards to Apple Pay on Apple Watch

  6. Line up your card in the yellow box and your iPhone will automatically capture as much information as it can. If you're having trouble you can also tap on Add Card Details Manually towards the bottom.
  7. Fill in any remaining information and verify what it captured was correct, then tap Next in the upper right hand corner.
  8. Repeat this process for every card you'd like to use with Apple Pay on your Apple Watch.
