Help aid Nepal with American Red Cross donations via iTunes

Apple has set up a donation page to help facilitate donations to the American Red Cross, flagged to help the victims of the recent Nepal earthquake.

The nation of Nepal has suffered a devastating earthquake that has killed thousands. Apple has set up a donation page on iTunes to help raise money for American Red Cross relief efforts in the region.

The quake struck before noon local time about 50 miles from Nepal's capital, Katmandu. It measured 7.8 on the Richter scale, flattening buildings throughout the city and affecting the whole region: Not only tiny Nepal, but also neighboring areas in India, Bangladesh, China's region of Tibet and Pakistan.

More than 2,500 deaths have already been reported, with thousands more injured. Rescue and recovery efforts are ongoing, and international aid organizations are mobilizing to move resources and personnel into the region to assist.

Apple has set up a link on iTunes to help raise money for the American Red Cross. 100 percent of what you give goes to the relief agency. Please help if you can.
