Square has expanded the reach of its Register software for the iPhone and iPad worldwide. It announced today that the app is now available "even in countries without integrated Square processing." It can now also accept payments from 130 different currencies.
Previous to today, Square Register was only available in the US, Canada, and Japan, so this international push is a pretty big deal for the online payment company. Square states, "Already, local sellers from Four Letter Word Coffee in Istanbul to WE Hostel in Sao Paulo are using Square Register software." However, the Square Register app is only available in English, Spanish, French, and Japanese languages.
