City of Cupertino provides Apple Campus 2 construction update, new aerial photo in tow

The city of Cupertino, Calififornia has posted a new ariel image of Apple's upcoming Campus 2 building that's currently under construction. The photo, supplied by Apple, was taken at a slightly different angle than a similar image taken from a drone earlier in November.

The "spaceship" design is clearly seen in the new photo, which will hold 12,000 employees inside over 2.8 million square feet. According to the City of Cupertino's schedule, Campus 2 will complete its street utilities and demolition work by the end of 2014, and earthwork will end sometime in the middle of 2015. The actual construction phase started in mid-2014 and is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2016.
