New book explores personal evolution of Steve Jobs, features interviews with Jony Ive, Tim Cook

Becoming Steve Jobs is a new book coming later this month that explores how Steve Jobs became one of the leading figures in technology and business of our time.

Written by Brent Schlender and Rick Tetzeli, Becoming Steve Jobs draws on Schlender's reporting on Jobs during his time at the Wall Street Journal and Fortune, as well as new reporting and interviews. From the book's website:

A brilliantly reported, compellingly written book that overturns the conventional view of Steve Jobs—the Jobs that is frozen forever as half genius, half jerk—Becoming Steve Jobs answers the central question about the life and career of the Apple cofounder and CEO: How did a young man so reckless and arrogant that he was exiled from the company he founded become the most effective visionary business leader of our time?

Becoming Steve Jobs features new interviews with several people close to Jobs, including Pixar and Apple employees, Apple executives Eddy Cue and Jony Ive, along with CEO Tim Cook, and Jobs' widow, Laurene Powell Jobs.

The book can be pre-ordered as an iBook from iTunes for $14.99, as well as a hardcover or Kindle book on Amazon. Becoming Steve Jobs will be available on March 24, 2015.
