Apple crowned China's most desirable brand, releases video for Chinese New Year

Apple is a growing brand in China, having enjoyed recent success with the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. Now, China-based luxury publishing group Hurun Research has released a report, concluding that Apple – as a brand – is more attractive to Chinese consumers, taking top spots for best luxurious gifts. According to the report:

The upcoming Chinese New Year would be the peak of gift giving in China…..Apple has become the most eye-catching gift brand this year. Apple's positioning in Chinese consumers' minds is getting stronger. Apple Watch should definitely benefit from this position.

Hurun Research placed Apple above the likes of Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Chanel, and Montblanc. With the more luxurious gold Apple Watch on the horizon, one can only foresee the brand itself further improving its image with consumers who don't mind forking out for only the best fashion accessories.

It's not only Apple who appears to be making it big in China with regards to brand awareness and rankings for gifts just before the Chinese New Year hits. Samsung too found itself in the charts, albeit considerably lower in rankings compared to Apple.

The California company currently operates 15 retail stores in the region, but has yet to make an impact in Western China. Apple has, however, released a short advert on its Chinese website for the New Year, as spotted by 9to5Mac. Check it out over on the Apple China website (linked below).
